New Trail Connects Zionsville and Whitestown

The towns of Zionsville and Whitestown recently celebrated the grand opening of the Big-4 Rail Trail.

Nearly 9 miles of paved trail connects the two communities and their 42,000+ residents. Future trail building will connect to Lebanon's existing Big 4 Trail segment, which extends 14 miles to Colfax, IN.

The trail was made possible by local governments, community organizations, and other supporters. Indiana's Next Level Trails grants were awarded to both city governments. In honor of this trail opening, local officials proclaimed October 4, 2023 to be "Zionsville-Whitestown Big-4 Rail Trail Day"!
